The Copes mark their 50th year of marriage May 12

XEAST PALESTINE -- May 12 marked the 50th wedding anniversary of Edward and Barbara (Haller) Cope, 797 Pine Tree Circle.
The couple observed the occasion May 13 during a dinner with relatives.
The couple's family includes their children and spouses, Randy and Candy Cope of East Palestine, Colleen and Tom Cox of Negley, Tracy and Kenny Kissinger of New Waterford and Tina Paquette of Columbia, S.C.; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The Copes were married May 12, 1956, at St. Rose Church in Cannelton, Pa.
Mr. Cope is a clerk at Fuller's True Value and a member of the Loyal Order of Moose.
Mrs. Cope was a packer at Kingwood Ceramics prior to her retirement. A member of Our Lady of Lords Catholic Church, she also is active in St. Mary's Ladies Aid Society and the Town and Country Garden Club.
