Thomas More 8, Wash. & amp; Jeff. 1 -- The Saints beat the top-seeded Presidents in the opening round. For W & amp;J, junior P Sam Mann (Howland) started the game and took the loss despite pitching against just two batters before the game was delayed by rain.
Thomas More 10, Grove City 2 -- The Saints posted their second upset in as many games. Thomas More exploded for six runs in the eighth to break open a close 4-2 contest and advance to the championship round. For the Wolverines, senior Ryan Carr (Mohawk) took the loss.
Wash. & amp; Jeff. 8, Bethany 4 -- The Presidents took control early by sandwiching single runs in the second and fourth around a four-run third for an early 6-0 lead. Junior 1B Sam Mann (Howland) added a solo home run for Washington & amp; Jefferson.
