Rain wreaks havoc with sectional softball tourney

JEFFERSON -- Thursday's Jefferson Division II tournament softball sectional finals at the JAG Complex were postponed because of rain.
The makeup date for both games is Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
Lakeview will play Niles at Waddell Park in Niles while Ashtabula Edgewood will play Jefferson at JAG Field.
The Div. II district semifinals will be played Thursday at 4:30 p.m. at JAG.

NORTH LIMA -- Kelly Rutushin pitched an eight-hitter with nine strikeouts and one walk and also rapped a three-run single to lead McDonald in an Inter-County League game Wednesday.
Jessica Ferraro chipped in with a three-run double, Courtney Vitullo had a double and two singles and Amanda Green two singles to pace the Blue Devils.
South Range (5-15-1 and 4-9 ICL) had three home runs.
Megan Beachley slugged a grand slam, Autumn Carter had solo homer along with a double and single and Loke Kalima also homered.
