Astro Falcons 17, Sluggers 3
The Astro Falcons were led by the pitching of Josh Saverko. Sutton Whiting and Andrew Cappuzzello each doubled for Astro while Nick Graziani added two singles. Joey Tamarkin and Brad Ferraro each had hits for Sluggers.
Line Drive 12, State Farm 2
One of Tom Slagle's two hits was a triple. He knocked in two runs. Carter Hill had two hits and two RBIs. One of Ryan Gallagher's two hits was a double. He drove in two runs and was the winning pitcher. Gallagher and Danny Popio combined on a two-hitter with nine strikeouts.
Line Drive 14, Mah. Valley Panthers 4
Every player on the Line Drive team contributed a hit. Mark Leone had three hits including a double to drive in two runs. He was also the winning pitcher. Adam Robb had two hits including a double and three RBIs. Danny Popio had two hits including a double with two RBIs. Carter Hill and Mike Werner had two hits each.
Wharmby Sports 14, Sluggers 2
Danny Watkins and John McGeary combined to pitch a one-hitter. James Coates and Brendan Cox each had two hits.
Astro Falcons 15, Rondinelli 5
The Astro Falcons pounded out 18 hits. Sutton Whiting led the Astros with three hits including a double while Ronnie Bovo and Matt Lubonovic had two doubles each. Jimmy Behnke tripled and doubled while Andrew Cappuzzello doubled,
Wharmby Sports 14, State Farm 1
Justin Wagler pitched a complete game allowing two hits in five innings. James Coates, Mitchell Maroscher, Tony Mehle, John McGeary and Mark Groner all had a hit for Wharmbys. Brad Smith and Drew Delsignore were defensive standouts.
Mahoning Valley 8, Rondinelli 3
Collecting hits for Rondinelli were Gerrard Roban, Kevin Mcguire, Mike Thorpe, Philip Arsvanti and Christian Silvestri. Panthers hitters were Rick Yauger, Cameron Christopher, Torren Roubic and Colton Greathouse. Roubic picked up the win.
PONY (ages 13-14)
Austintown Paper Center 6, Canfield Reinthaler Auto Sales 1
Ryan Nicholson tossed a two-hitter, striking out 11 batters. Anthony Savko's two hits included a double. Danny Costello hit a two-run homer while Sean Stewart had a RBI single. For Canfield, Dan Calai and Don Allison each had a hit.
Austintown Home Savings & amp; Loan 19, Austintown VFW 5
Shae Staser had three hits and walked to score three times. John Dina scored three times while Josh Miller, Tommy Smith, Ian Pinkeron and James Ecans all had two runs and scored twice. Pinkerton, Jon Deamicis and Dominic Pelligrini combined to scatter seven hits. For VFW, Nico Saborse had two hits including a double and a run scored. Jeff Pudolski and Jacob Kupus each had two hits.
