2 drivers die in head-on crash on Route 87

MESOPOTAMIA -- Two men were killed when the 1993 Chevy vans both were driving collided on state Route 87 early Thursday.
Dead are Donald Teter, 33, of Lake Milton, and Robert Beatty, 39, of North Bloomfield.
The left ball joint on the westbound van Beatty was driving broke, causing him to go left of center and hit head on the eastbound van Teter was driving, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. The 5:16 a.m. accident closed the road for three hours.
