PENINSULA -- Thomas the Tank Engine will roll into the Boston Mill train station on May 20-21 and 26-28. The train from the beloved animated children's show will visit Peninsula as part of a national tour on the rails that steams into heritage railroads in more than 40 U.S. cities. The family festival offers preschoolers and their families the opportunity to take a 25-minute ride (approximate) with Thomas the Tank Engine on the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad. The tour provides a unique, interactive family experience at every station, offering a variety of entertaining activities that reflect the local flavor of each stop. The 25-minute train ride with Thomas the Tank Engine will depart every 45 minutes, rain or shine, between 9:15 a.m. and 5 p.m. Advance purchase is recommended to ensure a choice of dates and times. Barbershop harmony
HERMITAGE, Pa. -- The Penn-Ohio Singers, the performing chorus of the Shenango Valley Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society, will present its 25th annual show, "Twenty Five Years and Counting," at 8 p.m. May 20 in the auditorium of Hickory High School. The show will feature two guest quartets, Deja Vu and Accent, as well as the Penn-Ohio Singers. The chapter has invited former chorus directors to return and be a part of the program.
