Players to present 'Angel Street'

YOUNGSTOWN -- Victorian Players, 702 Mahoning Ave., will present "Angel Street" by Patrick Hamilton.
First presented under the title "Gaslight" in London in 1938, "Angel Street" is a Victorian thriller.
All of the action takes place in a house on Angel Street, Pimlico District, London, in 1880.
It tells the demonic story of the Manninghams. Under the guise of kindliness, Manningham is slowly torturing his wife into insanity, and since her mother died after going insane, she is more than half-convinced that she, too, is going out of her mind. That is, until a benign police inspector calls upon her strength of character and her courage to expose her husband.
