New Wilmington police seek information on church burglaries
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- New Wilmington police are seeking information about a burglary at Neshannock Presbyterian Church, West Neshannock Avenue, and church burglaries in two other communities.
Police said the New Wilmington burglary, which occurred between 7:30 p.m. Monday and 7:55 a.m. Tuesday, may be linked to other burglaries during the same time period.
Those were reported at a Presbyterian church in Hermitage and a Christian Missionary Alliance church in Hempfield Township, both in Mercer County.
Police said someone entered the New Wilmington church and forced open the locked door of the secretary's office, stole a small amount of cash and a computer monitor, then searched through other desk drawers, cabinets and closets in the church.
Church officials did not report any other missing items.
Police ask anyone with information about the church burglaries to contact the appropriate police department.
