2 plead guilty in killing of homeless man

YOUNGSTOWN -- Two city men have entered guilty pleas in the slaying of a homeless man one year ago this month.
Sentencing will be Monday before Judge Maureen A. Sweeney in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court for William A. Williams, 24, and Janero Mitchell, 20, both of New York Avenue.
They were scheduled for hearings Wednesday. Instead, each pleaded guilty to one count of reckless homicide with firearm specifications.
Prosecution and defense attorneys have agreed to recommend four-year prison sentences for both men.
Mitchell and Williams were charged in the shooting death of Anthony McBride, 39, who was found on the sidewalk between 810 and 840 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. on the North Side around 12:15 a.m., May 7, 2005. Hendricks once lived at 810 Martin Luther King Blvd., records show.
Judge Sweeney also ordered an end to the house arrest of Jessica Hendricks, 23, of North Manchester Avenue, who authorities have called a material witness in the case.
Hendricks was arrested April 13 after dodging police and failing to show for two other hearings.
