Motorist enters no-contest plea
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Campbell woman accused of driving into a motorcycle cop over the weekend pleaded no contest Monday in municipal court Monday.
Vivian A. Wolff, 36, of Tenney Avenue, was fined $75 for traveling left of center and failure to yield to a public safety vehicle. She was also placed on one year's nonreporting probation.
The officer who was hit, Patrolman John Prest, is recuperating at home.
Prest had been providing traffic control for the Tod Children's Hospital Bike Run Sunday afternoon at Belmont Avenue and Wirt Street when Wolff attempted to pass the procession on the left and drove into the motorcycle, knocking the officer over.
