CANFIELD
May 3
Theft: A couple reported the theft of a suitcase from their home in the 100 block Kings Lane. Among items missing from the case, which had been set outside the main entrance door when the couple returned from a trip, were a diamond ring valued at between $14,000 and $19,000, a gold-band diamond ring and a white-gold necklace.

May 1
Attempted theft: An attempt was made to steal copper from Robbins Co., 3805 Henricks Road.
Breaking and entering: Police arrested two men for stealing scrap copper at Austintown Tool & amp; Die, N. Meridian Road.
Criminal damage: Siding on a home was hit by a possible BB in the 100 block of Fox Chase.
Truck theft: A 1980 Ford 150 was stolen in the 300 block of Westminster Avenue.
Theft: A cell phone was reported lost or stolen by a resident in the 4000 block of Kirk Road.
Theft: Several items were reported stolen from Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: Items were stolen from an auto parked at a residence in the 5000 block of West Webb Road.
Criminal damaging: A car was damaged at Davidson's Restaurant, 3630 Canfield Road.

Identity theft: Credit card accounts were opened without the knowledge of a person who rents an apartment in the 4000 block of Westchester Square.
Theft: Vitamins were stolen at GNC, 6000 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: Police arrested a person suspected of committing a theft at Wal-Mart.
Theft: A bank debit card was taken at Phoenix House, 850 N. Meridian Road.
Theft: A quantity of beer was taken from Country Fair, 1143 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Criminal damaging: A fence was damaged at a home in the 100 block of North Beverly Avenue.
Theft: A person refused to pay back borrowed money from someone who has a home in the 100 block of Atlanta Avenue.
Drug offense: Police arrested a Youngstown woman on a charge of passing a bad prescription at Rite Aid, 5498 Mahoning Ave.
May 3
Thefts: A total of $48.38 in gasoline was pumped and not paid for on two occasions at Sheetz gas station, 5499 Mahoning Ave.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle mirror was damaged on a vehicle parked at a home in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive.
Burglary: No forced entry was found, but missing were a computer and coins at an apartment in the 5000 block of Callaway Circle.
Identity Theft: A loan was taken out in the name of a resident of the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.
Criminal damaging: Tires were cut on a vehicle parked at a home in the 700 block of Notre Dame Drive.
Theft: A woman is accused of theft at Giant Eagle, 5220 Mahoning Ave.
Auto theft: A 1996 gray Oldsmobile with no plates was stolen from a residence in the 50 block of Westminster Avenue.
Theft: A quantity of fuel was taken from Pilot Oil, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
May 4
Robbery: A man displayed a handgun as he walked out without paying a $7.48 food bill at Eat N Park, 5459 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A bank card was stolen from a home in the 100 block of Ohltown Road.
Forgery: Seven checks worth $4,535.13 were reported as being forged at Austinwoods, 4780 Kirk Road.
Theft: Cigars and other items were stolen from Smoker Friendly, 1643 S. Raccoon Road.
Criminal damaging: A window was damaged at a home in the 1000 block of Kirwan Drive.
Thefts: A total of $80.17 in fuel was pumped and not paid for on two occasions at the Sheetz gas station.
Breaking and entering: A vacant house was entered in the 60 block of North Roanoke Avenue.
Drug abuse: Police found a Struthers woman in possession of suspected drug paraphernalia and other items at a home in the 100 block of Aldrich Drive.
May 5
Theft: An employee stole cash from Brier Hill Pizza, 50 S. Meridian Road.
Arrest: Police charged a Niles man with trafficking in cocaine, drug abuse of cocaine, drug abuse of marijuana, permitting drug abuse in a motor vehicle and drug possession. The arrest was made at Mahoning Plaza, 6000 Mahoning Ave.
Criminal damaging: A window was broken out of a vehicle parked in the 3000 block of Cannon Road.
May 6
Theft: A quantity of fuel was stolen from Certified Oil, 825 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
May 7
Drug offense: Police issued a summons for the arrest of a man on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Drug offense: Police arrested a Girard man on a charge of cocaine possession. His vehicle was towed from Wal-Mart.
Theft: A quantity of fuel was stolen from Certified Oil.
Theft: Money and an antique hall tree were taken from a home in the 3000 block of Ayrshire Boulevard.
Theft from auto: A rear license plate was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 100 block of South Inglewood Avenue.
