AUCTIONS
XAmerican Business Women's Association, Warren Charter Chapter, will hold a Chinese auction from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Packard Shelter House on Mahoning Avenue, Warren. Refreshments will be available.
XWest Salem Fire Department, 625 Vernon Road, Greenville, Pa., will sponsor an auction Friday at the fire hall. Included will be winches, power tools, home decor, collectibles and more. CARDS/BINGO
XAltar Society of St. Mark Orthodox Church, 3560 Logan Way, will hold a card party beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday. Men are encouraged to participate. More than 80 table and door prizes have been donated by women of the parish. The entrance fee is $5 and includes a luncheon and beverage. A Chinese auction will be held. NIGHTS AT THE RACES
XUrsuline High School Football Team will hold a night at the races Saturday at the school cafeteria, 750 Wick Ave., Youngstown. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m., and the first race is at 8. XHolborn Herb Growers Guild will hold a plant sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Boardman Township Park.

XRedeemer Lutheran Church, 2305 S. Canfield Niles Road, Austintown, will hold a rummage and bake sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday. A light lunch will be available Friday, and Saturday will be half-price and bag sale day.
SPECIAL EVENTS
XNegley Masons will hold a golf outing for men and women June 3 at Turkana Golf Course. The 4-person scramble will begin with registration at 7:30 a.m. and a shotgun start at 8, and will include breakfast, lunch at the turn and a steak dinner. Beverages will be provided throughout the day. The entry fee is $65 per golfer. Hole sponsors and donations are being accepted.
