Respect campaign to begin this month
YOUNGSTOWN --Billboards and posters promoting the Tri-County Family Violence Prevention Coalition's respect campaign will be going up soon in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties.
Proclamations are being given in each county to recognized the campaign during May, which is Family Violence Prevention Month.
Mahoning County's Practicing Respect Day will be declared at noon Wednesday in the front of the Mahoning County Courthouse.
The event will be held at noon May 16 at the Trumbull County Courthouse.
Practicing Respect Day will be marked from 11 to 11:30 a.m. May 17 at the Lisbon Village Green.
The coalition hopes that the respect billboards and posters will serve as reminders that simple courtesy can help prevent family violence.
This campaign is supported in part by funding from The Anthem Foundation of Ohio.
