Judge Fornelli revokes Butler man's probation
MERCER, Pa. -- A Butler man had his probation revoked in Mercer County and has been sentenced to the penitentiary..
Mercer County Common Pleas Court Judge Francis Fornelli recently sentenced Kim Sankey to two to five years in the State Correctional Facility for 14 felony counts of obtaining a controlled substance with a forged prescription.
Sankey, 26, had been placed on five years' probation in March 2005 for using a copied or altered prescription 14 times in 2004 to obtain oxycodone from two drugstores.
While on probation in Mercer County, he was convicted of three counts of forgery in Butler County and is serving a one-to-two-year prison term for those offenses.
The judge also sentenced Jamie Douglas, 18, of North Water Avenue, Sharon, to two years in prison for felony retail theft. Court documents state that on Oct. 6, 2005, she took $12.50 worth of miscellaneous items from a store in Sharon. The offense is a felony because it was the third or subsequent offense.
