Performances to benefit Peace Action
YOUNGSTOWN -- Four upcoming musical performances will benefit the local chapter of Peace Action for a Sane World. Peace Action is the largest grassroots peace and social justice organization in the country. Reservations for all shows can be made by calling (330) 747-5404.
On Saturday, the brother duo of Bellacoustic performs at 8 p.m. at The Peace House, 204 Broadway Avenue, at the corner of Elm Street. Greg and Jeff Bell use guitars, mandolins, didjeridos, hand drums and harmonicas to create a dynamic new sound.
Tickets are $25 ($20 for seniors), and reservations are required.
A dinner-concert will be held at 7 p.m. May 13, featuring poet, singer and songwriter Terry Murcko at the Peace House. Reservations are required. The price is $25.
Joe Deninzon, known as the Jimi Hendrix of the violin, and Stratospheerius, with special guest Jann Klose, will perform at the Youngstown Maennerchor Upstairs Stage at 8 p.m. on June 8. Reservations are $25 ($20 for seniors). Finally, the Numbers Band 15 60 75 performs at 9 p.m. June 17 at Peace House. Reservations are $25 ($20 for seniors).
