COSTLY FAILURES: One of the unanswered questions coming out of Tuesday's primary is does Capri Cafaro now understand that no amount of money is going to get her elected to Congress?
Cafaro spent more than $1 million to finish second in the 13th Congressional District's Democratic primary. In 2004, Cafaro spent close to $2 million to lose the November election in the 14th District. Her family lives in the 17th District.
Cafaro is bright and articulate, but carries too much baggage to make it into Congress. Among that baggage -- even according to her -- is her father, J.J.
The Elyria Chronicle Telegram reported an embarrassing incident after Cafaro lost the primary. A photographer for the newspaper claimed Cafaro's father belly-bumped him and threatened to damage his camera. To her credit, Cafaro jumped in and told her father to stop.
But in a damning statement, Cafaro said, "Daddy, you are such a liability," according to the newspaper.
