INDICTMENTS | Mahoning County



A Mahoning County grand jury has indicted Terrance Tate on one count of aggravated murder with a death penalty specification. Tate, 21, of Hilton Avenue, Youngstown, is charged with the fatal beating of 1-year-old Javonte Covington, who died April 27 in St. Elizabeth Medical Center. The grand jury also indicted the following people, according to a report issued Thursday:
Brandon Treharn, 18, addresses on Hudson and East Dewey avenues, Youngstown; possession of cocaine.
Krista A. Wheatley, 21, Aravesta Avenue, Boardman; theft.
Jeffrey L. Falk, 21, Franklin Avenue, Salem; theft.
Dino L. Brown, 20, Brooklyn Avenue, Youngstown; carrying concealed weapons.
Darnell Jones, 18, East Judson Avenue, Youngstown; improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle, illegal possession of a weapon or weapons.
Shuntell E. Taylor, 33, Wilbur Avenue, Youngstown; receiving stolen property, possession of cocaine.
Dana Wallace, 35, Kenmore Avenue, Youngstown; possession of cocaine.
Michael Mele, 18, Niles-Cortland Road, Niles; possession of cocaine.
James L. Mosely, 26, Fifth Street, Campbell; improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle, illegal possession of a weapon or weapons.
Charles Menton, aka Charles "Chuck" Green, 35, Superior Street, Youngstown; theft, assault.
Elliot Barwinski, 29, Meadowland Drive, Hubbard; robbery.
Troy T. Keslar, 24, Rainier Trail, Boardman; possession of heroin.
James M. Jarrell, 23, North Four Mile Run Road, Austintown; felonious assault.
