Caribbean theme is chosen for conference at Avalon Inn
A full schedule of activities is planned for those attending the event.
HOWLAND -- Ohio Federation of Business and Professional Women's Club has chosen a Caribbean theme, "BPW in Paradise," for its annual conference to be held May 19-21 at the Avalon Inn.
Scheduled for the event are workshops on subjects of interest to women in business and the professions, federation business meetings and a memorial service. There will also be social activities including golf, a fashion show and luncheon, and a dinner.
Founded in 1920, the organization is affiliated with BPW/USA, a leading advocate for working women. Its goal is to promote workplace equity through policy initiatives as well as to provide support for women to develop leadership skills.
BPW/Ohio offers scholarships through local affiliates in the state and through its Florence Allen Foundation. Membership is open to all who support the goals of the federation.
