Best Bets on TV Tonight
"Bruce Springsteen: The Seeger Session" (9 p.m., CMT): If you haven't heard Bruce Springsteen's new album, a rousing tribute to folk singer Pete Seeger aptly titled "We Shall Overcome: The Seeger Sessions," there's no better way to catch the Boss honor the folk music union hero than on CMT this weekend. "Bruce Springsteen: The Seeger Sessions" is an hour-long musical love fest, with Springsteen and his ragtag band recording the album live in Springsteen's New Jersey farmhouse.
"Keith Barry: Extraordinary" (8 p.m., CBS): Your mind isn't playing tricks on you -- or is it? Psychological illusionist Keith Barry works his mind-control magic on an array of A-listers, including Matthew McConaughey, Elijah Wood, Jessica Simpson and Rachel Hunter. After he's done hypnotizing the stars and toying with their heads, Barry performs a death-defying public hanging and drives blindfolded down a public road with Pussycat Dolls lead singer Nicole Scherzinger and rapper Eve.
"Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" (7:30 p.m., Disney): "Meeska, Mooska, Mickey Mouse!" is the magic phrase that launches this half-hour program for preschoolers. Mickey and pals Minnie Mouse, Donald and Daisy Duck, Goofy and Pluto star in the computer-generated animation series full of gadgets and puzzles aimed at helping kids develop math and problem-solving skills. There's also lively music, including "Hot Dog!" and the "Clubhouse Theme," written and performed by They Might Be Giants. Following its prime-time debut, the series will air regularly on Saturdays at 9 a.m. on the Disney Channel.
"Ghost Whisperer" (8 p.m., CBS): This series wraps up its successful freshman season with an episode that has Melinda contending with crash investigators and an evil spirit as she tries to help hundreds of dead passengers cross over following a jetliner disaster.
