Woman enters plea in vehicular homicide
LISBON -- A Salem woman has pleaded no contest to a drug-related traffic killing in 2004.
Audrey L. Wylie, 22, of Penbrooke Drive, Salem, had been indicted on a charge of aggravated vehicular homicide, a second-degree felony.
She entered the plea Monday before Judge David Tobin of Columbiana County Common Pleas Court.
Wylie was accused of being under the influence of cocaine when she was in a crash around 4:30 p.m. Dec. 5 in Butler Township.
Court records state she was driving a car in the center of Depot Road. The driver of another car swerved to avoid her. Wylie's car hit the front passenger side of the second car, killing Scott B. Ewing, 29, of Minier, Ill.
Sentencing was set for 1 p.m. July 20.
