WKSU reaches Boardman-Poland area
BOARDMAN -- WKSU is broadcasting to the Boardman-Poland area over 107.5 FM. The low-power frequency rebroadcasts WKSU's main 89.7 FM signal.
Boardman's 10-watt translator antenna is on a 300-foot tower and reaches an area with an approximately six-mile radius. The new transmitter joins WKSU's main tower in Copley township and repeater stations in Wooster, New Philadelphia, Thompson and Norwalk in broadcasting National Public Radio news, classical music, folk music and other programs.
WKSU General Manager Al Bartholet said, "Our new translator in Boardman offers listeners in the area access to WKSU's quality public radio offerings." WKSU is a service of Kent State University.
