Presidents' Athletic Conference
Championship Tournament
Thomas More -- Earned the top seed and will play host for the PAC tournament. The Saints, in their first season as a member of the PAC, are 10-2 in the conference and 25-13-1 overall. The Saints will face fourth-seeded Waynesburg College (12-16, 7-5 PAC) in the first opening round matchup on Friday. In the other first round matchup, second seed Westminster College (22-16, 9-3 PAC) will open defense of its PAC title against third-seeded Washington & amp; Jefferson College (22-13, 8-4 PAC). The double-elimination tournament will conclude with the championship game on Saturday afternoon.
Grove City 4-5, Bethany 2-4 -- Grove City is 11-15-1, 3-8 PAC.
BASEBALL
Grove City 10-11, Westminster 1-3 -- Grove City is 23-10, 11-7 PAC.
California, Pa. 3-6, Slippery Rock 1-0 -- California is 33-16, 17-3 PSAC-W. The Rock is 31-19, 13-7.
Bethany 4-10, Waynesburg 3-5 -- Tthe Bison are 13-21, 9-6 PAC. The Yellow Jackets are 15-16-1, 6-9.
Thiel 5-6, Oberlin 1-2 -- Freshman left fielder Dan Morrison (Maplewood) finished the day 4-for-7 with three RBIs and a run scored. Senior pitcher Rich McNeal (East Palestine) picked up the complete-game win in game one for the Tomcats (20-17), allowing one run on six hits with six strikeouts.
