Man is thrown from car on Rte. 11 ramp

YOUNGSTOWN -- Andrew Konsol, 32, of Ohltown-McDonald Road, Niles, was in critical condition in St. Elizabeth Health Center after being thrown from his car on the southbound state Route 11 exit ramp onto Mahoning Avenue.
The Canfield Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said he was driving south on Route 11 around 1:33 a.m. Sunday. Gregory Brinsko, 33, of Ohltown Road, Austintown, was also driving south, along with police in pursuit.
It was unclear whom police were pursuing or why. Konsol was driving in the right lane and Brinsko was driving on the berm.
The patrol said Brinsko tried to enter the traffic lane and struck Konsol's vehicle. Konsol was ejected when the car rolled over and came to a rest on the exit ramp.
