ON THE WEB Interesting sites
Explore cyberspace and your inner spiritual space through these Web sites.
www.decentfilms.com: Steven D. Greydanus, a critic for the National Catholic Register, reviews films for their values as "informed by Christian faith." Movies get an overall recommendation, a rating for artistry and entertainment, a guide for age appropriateness and a moral and spiritual values rating.
www.christianitytoday.com/movies: The evangelical Web site has an extensive listing of films and commentary about them. It also offers a free weekly Movies newsletter with interviews, commentary and reviews of new video releases.
disciplesnow.com: Many ministry and church Web sites start with good intentions but have trouble staying fresh -- too many outdated links and events. This site designed for Catholic teens (but comprehensive enough for adults) is an exception. Home page content rotates frequently, and current events are current.
www.religion-online.org: Editors have compiled almost 6,000 articles, chapters and lectures by scholars. Users can browse by category, author or keyword. The topic list is exhaustive -- the art of preaching, liberation theology, genetics, Islam.
www.ncccusa.org/news: The National Council of Churches USA is commemorating Women's History Month with lessons, liturgies and links to other sites honoring women of faith in leadership roles. The site encourages congregations to recognize the evolving role of women in the church.
