Child molester gets 7 years in prison

LISBON -- Richard Ramsey Jr., 36, of Lisbon was sentenced Friday to seven years in prison for molesting and having sex with a young girl.
Judge C. Ashley Pike of Columbiana County Common Pleas Court sentenced Ramsey to three years on a charge of gross sexual imposition and four years on a charge of sexual battery. The terms will run consecutively.
Timothy McNicol, an assistant county prosecutor, said Ramsey touched and had sex many times with the relative while she was age 11 to 13.
McNicol said that Ramsey told the girl he was performing a gynecological examination. The offenses took place at various locations in Salem.
