CAREER AND TECHNICAL CENTERS Regional winners



A total of 62 students from career and technical centers in the Mahoning Valley advanced to state competition in the Business Professionals of America contest. The Trumbull County center will send 48; Mahoning County, 10; and Columbiana County, four.
The students took top honors in the Region 11 competition at Kent State University Trumbull Campus. The 31st annual event was open to students from only the three counties, officials said.
The Trumbull school's enrollment is 903 students and offers five business programs while the other schools each offer two. The Columbiana school has 400 students, and Mahoning has 537.
