Police receive a $60 annual uniform allowance, and Cress said police should order their white shirts by April 20 to be sure they will be delivered by June 1.

A marauder shoots Mrs. John Hilton, 28, in the mouth when she got out of bed in her room at 362 E. Boardman St. to help her husband brace the door against the intruder. She is in fair condition in the South unit of Youngstown Hospital. Police believe the man knew that Hilton had received an amount of money in an insurance settlement earlier in the day.
