YOUNGSTOWN -- The YSU football alumni committee of the Penguin Club is taking reservations for their golf outing at Oak Tree Country Club in West Middlesex, Pa., April 28.
A round of golf is $75 while a golf and Outback Steakhouse Buffet Dinner package is $100. The event tees off at noon with a shotgun start.

Packard Golf League
WARREN -- The Packard Electric Ladies Golf League get acquainted meeting will be held at the Four Seasons Home Park Clubhouse on April 10 at 6 p.m..
Members do not have to be Delphi employees to join. The season begins on May 8 at Avalon South and May 9 at Vienna Short Holes. Beginners division at Vienna will offer Tuesday morning and evening tee times.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Terry Ruskowski of the Laredo Bucks was named Central Hockey League coach of the year.
Ruskowski led the Bucks to the top mark (41-15-6) in the Southern Conference while clinching a fourth consecutive playoff berth, a third straight Southeast Division title and the top seed in the conference playoffs for the third straight year.
In four years with Laredo, Ruskowski has a record of 165-62-23.

Marietta football
MARIETTA -- Marietta football coach Todd Glaser resigned and offensive coordinator Curt Wiese was promoted to take his place.
Glaser had a 13-17 record in three seasons with the Division III Pioneers. He left the Ohio Conference school to become the coach at Wisconsin-Eau Claire, his alma mater, Marietta's athletic department announced Tuesday.
In addition to his duties as head coach, Wiese will continue as offensive coordinator, his role the past three seasons under Glaser.
Offensive line coach Ben Halder was promoted to defensive coordinator by Wiese.
PIAA roundup
D.J. Kennedy and DaJaun Blair combined for 38 points to lead Schenley to a convincing 66-46 upset of Harrisburg in the PIAA Class AAAA semifinals Wednesday.
Schenley (30-1) entered the game ranked No. 2 in the state, while Harrisburg (32-2) was No. 1. The victory earns Schenley its sixth title berth and first since 2001.
Kennedy led Schenley with 20 points, while Blair contributed 18 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists. Alphonso Dawson came off the bench to lead Harrisburg with 20 points.
Schenley will face Lower Merion, last year's PIAA runner-up, in the title game, Saturday at 8 p.m. at Hershey's Giant Center.
Lower Merion (27-6) earned its second straight title berth with a 70-65 win over Chester (25-8).
Ryan Brooks led Lower Merion with 26 points and 18 rebounds.
In Class AA boys, defending champion Beaver Falls earned a return trip to the title game with 71-70 win over Quaker Valley. Lance Jeter led the Tigers with 31 points, including a foul shot with three seconds remaining which gave Beaver Falls the deciding point.
Beaver Falls will face Prep Charter in the title game, Saturday at 6 p.m. at Hershey's Giant Center.
Prep Charter (27-5) became the second District 12 team to earn a PIAA title berth with a 56-53 win over York Catholic (30-4).
In Class AAA girls, No. 8 Allentown Central Catholic (28-5) earned its 11th title berth with a convincing 57-42 win over Oxford (25-5).
Allentown Central will face top-ranked Hopewell in the title game, Saturday at 6 p.m. at Hershey's Gian Center.
Hopewell (29-3) earned its first title berth with a 47-40 win over Moon (23-9). It was the fourth time the two teams have played and Hopewell has been victorious all four times.
In Class A girls, Samantha Pollino scored 23 points to lead No. 7 Conemaugh Valley (30-2) to its first PIAA title berth with a 46-44 win over No. 3 Union Rimersburg (29-2).
Conemaugh Valley will face No. 10 Pottsville Nativity BVM (26-6) in the title game, Saturday at 12 noon at Hershey's Giant Center.
Nativity BVM earned its eighth title berth, and fifth since 2000, with a 31-28 win over Marian Catholic (30-3).
