Old Dominion 61, Hofstra 51
HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. -- Isaiah Hunter scored a career-high 29 points as Old Dominion snapped Hofstra's 21-game home winning streak and advanced to the semifinals. Hofstra, which had the second-longest streak in the nation, lost at home for the first time Jan. 19, 2005. Arnaud Dahi had 10 points and was the only other double-figure scorer for the Monarchs (24-9), who lost twice to the Pride in the Colonial Athletic Association this season. Antoine Agudio scored 13 points for Hofstra (26-7). Loren Stokes had 12 points and Carlos Rivera added 10. Adrian Uter grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds.
Michigan 71, Miami 65
ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Daniel Horton scored 19 points and Chris Hunter had 16 as Michigan advanced to the semifinals. Dion Harris and Lester Abram added 15 points apiece to help the Wolverines (21-10) extend the nation's longest postseason winning streak to eight games and improve to 16-0 in home NIT games. Guillermo Diaz scored 20 points and Robert Hite added 19 for the Hurricanes (18-16), who lost 74-53 here on Nov. 29 in the Big Ten-ACC Challenge.
Louisville 74, Missouri St. 56
LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Taquan Dean scored 26 points to lead Louisville to the semifinals for the first time in 21 years. Louisville (21-12) will play the winner of tonight's quarterfinal between Cincinnati and South Carolina. Terrence Williams added 14 points for the Cardinals while Juan Palacios had a season-high 13 rebounds to go with eight points. Louisville held the Bears (22-9) to 27 percent shooting from the floor in winning its seventh straight home game. Kellen Easley led Missouri State with 13 points but couldn't keep up with the Cardinals, who used a 22-4 run spanning the end of the first half and the beginning of the second half to take control.
