Church accepting money for food

YOUNGSTOWN -- Richard Brown United Methodist Church, 1207 Elm St., is accepting monetary donations this month and during April to benefit its food bank.
The Alan Shawn Feinstein Foundation, operated by a philanthropist of the same name from Cranston, R.I., will make a donation to the fund. What percentage the foundation donates will be determined by how much is collected locally.
The foundation has given away some $1 million annually to anti-hunger agencies throughout the United States.
The church food bank serves neighbors within the boundaries of Rayen Avenue to the south, Gypsy Lane to the North, Wirt Street to the west and Albert Street to the east.
Donations may be made at the church or sent to Richard Brown United Methodist Church, 1207 Elm St., Youngstown 44505.
Donald Rotar is food coordinator, and the Rev. Pat Christ is pastor.
