SARASOTA, Fla. -- Grady Sizemore's second triple of the game capped a four-run sixth inning, and winning pitcher Cliff Lee went five innings to lead the Cleveland Indians to a 5-2 win over the Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday.
Sizemore's triples give him four this spring.
Cincinnati starter Brandon Claussen allowed one run on four hits in five innings. He struck out five.
The only run Claussen gave up was a homer by Ronnie Belliard.
Victor Martinez's homer off loser Jake Robbins, a former Indian, started the Cleveland sixth, which included a single by Eduardo Perez and a double by Aaron Boone, both former Reds.
Phillies (ss) 5, Pirates 2
BRADENTON, Fla. (AP) -- Chase Utley hit a two-run homer, Cory Lidle pitched five shutout innings and a Philadelphia Phillies split squad beat the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Utley's drive in the first came off left-hander Zach Duke, who learned after the game he would start the Pirates' home opener April 10 against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Duke, one of the majors' top rookies with an 8-2 record and 1.81 ERA last season, gave up seven hits but no other runs over five innings.
Duke, whose first start will come in the Pirates' third game of the season April 5 in Milwaukee, struck out five and walked one. Utley's homer was the second off Duke in 17 innings this spring.
Lidle struck out five and walked one while giving up three hits. Aquilino Lopez pitched the ninth inning for a save. Right fielder Chris Roberson ended the game with a sliding catch of Chris Duffy's line drive with two runners on.
Lidle hadn't pitched against major league hitters since giving up four runs and five hits in three innings March 10 against the Red Sox. His next outing came in a minor league game March 16.
Shane Victorino went 3-for-5 and tripled twice for the Phillies, who scored three runs in the final two innings against relievers Scott Strickland and John Grabow. Victorino had an RBI triple in a two-run ninth.
Jose Bautista, a rookie infielder who is one of the Pirates' top position player prospects, hit a solo homer in the seventh off Aaron Fultz. Craig Wilson had a run-scoring single in the eighth in his only at-bat to get the Pirates to 3-2.
