Delmont home sold by sheriff

WARREN -- The home of Trumbull County's ex-purchasing director was sold Tuesday at a sheriff's sale.
Tony Delmont is to serve prison time for his part in the county's purchasing scheme.
His house at 649 Burning Oaks Road, Howland, sold for $95,000 to National City Bank, the creditor that foreclosed on the property, according to the Trumbull County Sheriff's Department civil division.
The home had been appraised at $114,000, records indicate.
Delmont, who said he lives at a different location in the Warren area while receiving treatment for leukemia, was sentenced Jan. 27 to three years in prison as soon as he is healthy enough to report.
Judge Peter Kontos of Trumbull County Common Pleas Court set Delmont's reporting date for prison for April 3. Karen Delmont, Tony Delmont's estranged wife, also of Warren, was sentenced to five years' probation for laundering her husband's bribe money.
