Ursuline's Grant named to all-tournament team



Plain City's Lauren Prochaska was selected as Div. III's outstanding player.
COLUMBUS (AP) -- Lauren Prochaska of Plain City Jonathan Alder was named the outstanding player on the Associated Press Division III all-tournament team after leading a 55-49 win over Ursuline.
Prochaska had 15 points and 11 rebounds after getting 25 points, 18 rebounds, six steals and four assists in a 65-52 semifinal win over Castalia Margaretta.
She was joined on the team by Ursuline's Tyra Grant, who had 30 points, nine rebounds, seven blocks, six steals and three assists in the championship game after scoring 17 points in a 39-31 win over Sugarcreek Garaway in the semifinals.
Joining Prochaska and Grant were Jessie Adams of Alder (23 points in two games) her teammate Erica Wehner (20 points, two games) and Margaretta's Michele Kuns, who had 20 points and nine rebounds in the semifinals.
Division I
Cincinnati Mount Notre Dame freshman forward Kendall Hackney was selected as the outstanding player after her clutch play enabled the Cougars to pull away for a 56-36 win over Solon.
She scored 12 points, including eight that helped stretch the lead in the third quarter.
She was joined on the team by Mount Notre Dame teammates Lee Stephens and Katie Paganelli, and Solon's Kourtney Brown and Erin Wisner.
Division II
Warsaw River View's Kari Daugherty, a 6-foot-1 freshman center, was named outstanding player. She scored 21 points in a 48-29 victory over Mentor Lake Catholic in the title game.
She also had 17 points and 10 rebounds in a 51-44 overtime win over Copley in the semifinals.
She was joined on the team by her older sister Kristin, Lake Catholic's Alexis Karel and Courtney Schuster, and Copley's Carrie Dyer.
Division IV
Lindsay Stuckey, a key contributor to Berlin Hiland's second consecutive title, was named outstanding player. Stuckey, a 5-8 senior, had 17 points in a 59-54 championship victory over East Canton and 18 points in a 49-47 win over Fort Loramie in the semifinals.
She was joined on the team by teammates Jena Stutzman and Rachel Thomas, and East Canton's Caitlin Sharp and Katy Arick.
