SOFTBALL
Westminster College 7, Otterbein 2 -- Junior pitcher Jennifer Pancake (Boardman) recorded the win in the opener against the Cardinals. She allowed two runs on six hits while striking out five batters. She also helped her own cause at the plate by going 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and two RBIs. Freshman Amy Cornicelli (Howland) went 2-for-3.
Westminster 6, Wisconsin-Platteville 3 -- Sophomore pitcher Sarah Henry (Bristol) started the game but left after one inning after allowing three runs on two hits with a pair of strikeouts. Pancake came in in relief and fired six scoreless frames on two hits with five strikeouts for the Titans. Juniors Stephanie Cornicelli (Howland) was 3-for-4.
Millikin 5, Westminster 4 -- Pancake took the loss in the opener, allowing five runs on eight hits with no walks and eight strikeouts for the Titans (3-7).
Wisconsin-Stevens Point 10, Westminster 1 -- Pancake (3-4) suffered the pitching defeat, as she allowed 10 runs on 10 hits with four strikeouts.
BASEBALL
Thiel College 6-3, Muskingum 3-5 -- Sophomore pitcher Eric Wadowsky (3-1) picked up the victory for the Tomcats (6-4), allowing five hits and three runs with four strikeouts. Senior catcher Kinsey Henderson (East Liverpool), senior right fielder Brett Bell (Badger) and freshman center fielder Dan Morrison (Maplewood) each added RBIs in the win. Senior first baseman Mark Nightingale (East Liverpool) went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs in the loss.
Penn State Behrend 4-9, Bethany 3-7 -- Penn State Behrend scored three times in the top of the seventh of game one and two runs in the top of the ninth frame of the second game to sweep the twinbill. Junior Brett Bartholomew (Boardman) went the first six innings, allowing just one run on four hits while striking out two and walking two in the opener.
Penn State Behrend 6, Bethany 2 -- Five walks and an error by Bethany helped Behrend scored two runs in the seventh inning and three in the eighth to pull away for the victory.
Kenyon 8, Westminster College 3 -- The Titans are 4-6.
Rose-Hulman 7, Mount Union 1 -- The Raiders (7-5) scored in the top of the first inning.
Thiel College 13-7, Pitt-Greensburg 2-6 -- Senior designated hitter/first baseman Mark Nightingale (East Liverpool) drove in six runs for the Tomcats (8-4) in their sweep. He finished 4-for-4 with four runs, four RBIs and a two-run home run in opener. Senior pitcher Rich McNeal (East Palestine) improved to 2-0 on the season with the game one win, allowing seven hits and two runs with five strikeouts in six innings. Freshman pitcher Nick Durkin (Campbell) registered the final three outs of the seventh in relief to give the Tomcats the win.

Grove City 7, Wheaton (Ill.) 6 (2OT) -- Freshman Liza McRuer broke a 6-6 tie in the second overtime with her second goal of the match.

Women
Thiel College -- placed fourth with 116 points.
Men
Thiel College -- Thiel College won the eight-team meet with 211 points. Freshman Dorran Coley was named the MVP, winning both the 110-meter high hurdles and 400-meter intermediate hurdles and qualifying for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field National Championships in the high hurdles. Thiel posted victories in all three relay events (4x100, 4x200, 4x400). Freshman Steve Witherspoon (Warren Harding) ran to a second-place finish in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.17.

Ohio Dominican 5, Mount Union 4 -- The Raiders are 5-3.
