AUCTIONS
Holy Trinity Romanian Orthodox Church Camen Sylva Auxiliary, 626 Wick Ave., will hold a Chinese auction Sunday. Doors will open at 1 p.m. and drawings will begin at 2. Tickets are 25 for $4 and specials are $1. Refreshments will be available.
BINGO/CARD PARTIES
Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 343 Via Mount Carmel, will hold a bingo and card party at 3 p.m. Sunday. There will be a light lunch. Tickets are $5 at the door.
CRAFT SHOWS
St. Paul's Lutheran Church, corner of Union Avenue and Beech Street, Alliance, will hold a craft show featuring 20 vendors from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. There will also be a silent auction, quilt raffle and food stand.
FUND-RAISERS
Easter Seals of Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana Counties is sponsoring an Easter basket raffle with drawings scheduled for April 12. Tickets are $1 each and are available at Nemenz IGAs in Boardman, Struthers, Canfield and Lincoln Knolls; Taco Bell in Calcutta, Columbiana and Niles; Arby's in Struthers and Mineral Ridge and on West Market Street; Patton's IGA in Hubbard; Charly's Restaurant in Austintown; Sparkle Markets in New Middletown, Struthers, Champion and Cortland; Friendly's Family Restaurant in Poland; Shell True North in Hubbard; Alltel in Boardman; and at the Easter Seals on Edward Street, Youngstown.
New Life Maternity Home, 3653 Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna, will sponsor a walk-athon from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday at Kaufmann's and Kahunaville entrance of Eastwood Mall, Niles. Sponsor sheets are available by calling New Life at (330) 856-3616. Prizes will be awarded the top two sponsored walkers in two categories.
NIGHTS AT THE RACES
Boardman Mat Club, the booster club of Boardman High School Wrestling, will hold a Night at the Races for adults only Saturday at the Operating Engineers Hall, 291 McClurg Road, Boardman. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and races will begin at 7. There will be a Chinese auction and 50-50 drawing. Admission is $5 and includes refreshments. For more information call (330) 783-0418.
SALES
Braceville United Methodist Women will hold a rummage sale March 30 and 31 in the church, off state Route 82, Braceville Center. On March 30, hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and there will be a light lunch and bake sale. On March 31, hours are 9 a.m. to noon, and there will be a $1 a bag sale.
SPECIAL EVENTS
Farmers National Bank is sponsoring a Baby Shower from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 2 at the Mill Creek MetroParks, state Route 46, across from Canfield Fairgrounds, to celebrate the arrival of young farm animals. Mathews Community PTO will hold a family fun fest from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at Mathews High School, Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna. Entertainment will include games, face painting, food, and raffles. Third Presbyterian Church, 1315 E. Washington St., New Castle, Pa., will hold an Airing of the Quilts show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free, and those attending can become involved by taking a 10-inch quilt block to be added to a lap robe for Shenango Senior Care Home in New Wilmington, Pa.
