Racing to provide funds for services

CAMPBELL -- A Night at the Races will be held by the Kiwanis Club of Eastside Youngstown on Saturday at St. Joseph the Provider Social Hall, 633 Porter Ave.
Doors for the event will open at 6:45 p.m., and races will begin at 7. The evening will also include a 50-50 raffle, card games, food and beverages.
No reservations are required for the public event, and proceeds will be used to support the club's charitable activities.
The Kiwanis Club has a long tradition of community service for adults and children in the East Side area and surrounding communities. Members serve as tutors for area students and provide financial assistance to schools.
The club also sponsors clothing drives, provides holiday meals and assistance to families, and donates both funds and volunteer hours to many children's charities in the area.
