Celebrities donate items for auction

KNIGHT RIDDER NEWSPAPERS
You don't want to admit it, but you're caught up in the celebrity craze. You watch the red carpet shows as if you are cramming for exams. You loved Jessica Alba's Golden Globes gown. You try to mimic Jennifer Aniston's style.
Step right up.
You are the consumer expected to start the bidding on www.clothesoffourback.org. You can try for Scarlett Johansson's shoes or Angela Bassett's gown from the Golden Globes. The Web site is offering items the celebrities donated. The list includes Bradley Whitford's SAG Awards watch and Golden Globes winner Joaquin Phoenix's tuxedo. Designer Richard Tyler has donated a Saturn SKY roadster he accessorized. A Sundance Festival vest autographed by Aniston is on the block.
Academy Awards items will also be in the mix.
The proceeds from the auction go to charities Cure Autism Now, Half the Sky and UNICEF's fund for Darfur. Bidding closes March 31.
