The Titans (2-5) scored three runs in both the first and third innings against Kenyon, then held on for the victory. Sophomore pitcher Jake Zatchok (Western Reserve) earned the win for the Titans, improving to 1-0. At the plate, Don Womeldorff was 2-for-3 with a pair of runs scored and two RBIs. Mark Francazio also went 2-for-3, while outfielder Steve Brink was 2-for-4. The opener against Alvernia saw the Crusaders jump out to a 6-0 lead in the opening frame, then blank the Titans the rest of the way. Senior Brenton Gilmore (0-1) took the loss for Westminster. The Titans were limited to four singles in the loss.
