Chamber campaign to support Delphi workers

WARREN -- The Youngstown-Warren Regional Chamber will introduce its "Keep the Connection" campaign on behalf of Delphi Packard Electric Systems and its employees.
The campaign will be discussed at a news conference at 10 a.m. Monday at the National Packard Museum, 1899 Mahoning Ave. N.W.
The campaign is designed to support Delphi and its employees as they work through the company's bankruptcy and uncertainty concerning its future.
With more than 5,100 employees, Delphi is one of the four largest employers in the Mahoning Valley. Delphi Packard Electric Systems also indirectly supports thousands of other jobs in this region, the chamber said.
Speakers at the news conference will include U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan of Niles, D-17th, Youngstown Mayor Jay Williams, Warren Mayor Michael O'Brien and chamber President Tom Humphries.
The news conference is being held at the museum, which chronicles the Warren-based history of Packard Electric and Packard automobiles.
