SUNRISE, Fla. -- Robert Esche made 27 saves to get his first shutout of the season. Simon Gagne, Petr Nedved, R.J. Umberger and Jeff Carter scored for the Flyers. Philadelphia snapped a six-game road losing streak while beating the Panthers for the ninth time at Florida. The loss broke a three-game winning streak for Florida. Roberto Luongo had 26 saves for the Panthers before he was relieved by Jamie McLennan at the start of the third period. McLennan had seven saves.
Red Wings 3, Mighty Ducks 1
DETROIT -- Nicklas Lidstrom had three assists and Chris Osgood made 25 saves to help Detroit beat Anaheim. Henrik Zetterberg, Mathieu Schneider and Kris Draper scored for the Red Wings, who have won four straight and six of seven. Osgood, who has been Manny Legace's backup this season, got his second straight win in his second consecutive start. Teemu Selanne scored for Anaheim, which had its three-game winning streak snapped.
