GRAPEFRUIT LEAGUE ROUNDUP | Tuesday's games

Blue Jays (ss) 11, Indians (ss) 5
WINTER HAVEN, Fla. -- Josh Towers now wishes he would have chosen his words more carefully. Or better, kept his mouth shut.Toronto's right-hander angered the Indians last season for comments he made about Casey Blake and Aaron Boone following an Aug. 8 game. After giving up home runs to Blake and Boone in a 4-1 loss, Towers said, "The two home runs, those aren't very good hitters. Nothing for nothing, but they're hitting .240 for a reason."Looking back, Towers regrets the comments. "That's not me," he said Tuesday while a split squad of Blue Jays was beating the Indians 11-5. "I screwed up. I said some stupid things. I've never gotten a chance to apologize. I probably won't go up to their faces and apologize to those guys, which is more of a pride thing than anything, but they deserve one."Blake and Boone played in a split-squad game at Lakeland, Fla., and didn't get to see Towers. "Probably a good thing," Towers said, smiling.Ryan Roberts hit a go-ahead, two-run homer and Mike Mahoney added a three-run shot in Toronto's seven-run ninth as the Blue Jays rallied to win after being down 4-0 after four innings and 5-3 in the eighth.Chad Mottola and Miguel Negron also homered for Toronto, connecting in the fifth off Indians closer Bob Wickman.Travis Hafner and Brandon Phillips hit homers for the Indians. Cleveland starter Jason Johnson pitched four shutout innings.Andy Marte, the Indians' highly touted third base prospect who will begin the season in the minors, added two RBIs as Cleveland jumped out to a 4-0 lead.Phillips hit his second homer in the fourth inning, a shot to left field that strengthened his chances of making the club as a utility infielder. Phillips added a double in the fourth, scored twice and combined with shortstop Jhonny Peralta to turn a nice double play in the third.
