"The New Adventures of the Old Christine" (9 p.m., CBS): Julia Louis-Dreyfus gets another shot at breaking that "Seinfeld" curse in "The New Adventures of the Old Christine." It's an amusing sitcom in which she plays a divorced mom who gets along just fine with her ex -- until he hooks up with a new girlfriend, who, um, just happens to be named Christine, too. Hence the title.
"24" (9 p.m., Fox): We're still blubbering over the stunning death of sad-sack computer geek Edgar Stiles, but the mourning period has to be cut short because there's still much terrorist-fighting work to be done on "24." In tonight's episode, Homeland Security officials meet with resistance when they arrive at CTU to deal with a "situation."
"Augusta, Gone" (9 p.m., Lifetime): A businesswoman and divorced mother of two has worked hard to keep her family intact. But Martha faces a crisis when her 14-year-old daughter, Augusta, falls prey to self-doubt, depression and worse. The breaking point comes when, discouraged after failing an important test, Augusta is befriended by another troubled girl who encourages her self-destructive behavior and introduces her to cigarettes, drugs, alcohol and older boys. Sharon Lawrence stars in "Augusta, Gone," the story of a family's struggle and eventual victory over the daily temptations in a teenager's life.
