SAN ANTONIO -- Tim Duncan scored 20 points, Michael Finley made a pair of 3-pointers in the fourth quarter, and San Antonio held off a late rally to beat Houston. The Rockets played without star swingman Tracy McGrady, who could miss five weeks because of a sore back. Manu Ginobili scored 14 points, Nazr Mohammed had 11 and Beno Udrih 10 for San Antonio. Duncan grabbed 10 rebounds. Yao Ming had 25 points for the Rockets, 17 in the first half, and Rafer Alston scored 15. Luther Head added 13, including three 3-pointers, and Keith Bogans had 11.

LOS ANGELES -- Rashard Lewis scored 26 points, Ray Allen had 19 to pass the 15,000-point mark for his career, and Seattle beat Los Angeles. Kobe Bryant scored 22 points on 8-of-29 shooting for Los Angeles, and he missed three long jumpers in a row in the closing seconds as the Lakers tried to catch up. Chris Wilcox added 21 points for Seattle and each Sonics starter scored in double figures. Johan Petro scored 13 points, Luke Ridnour had 12, and reserve Earl Watson chipped in with 14 points and eight assists.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- Chris Webber picked up the slack for an injured Allen Iverson, scoring 31 points, grabbing 10 rebounds and adding nine assists to lead Philadelphia. The Sixers played the second half without Iverson, the league's second-leading scorer, who sprained his right ankle near the end of the first half and did not return. Webber was 12-of-19 from the field and led five Sixers in double figures. Webber's 14-footer with 48 seconds left gave Philadelphia the lead for good, and the Sixers held on to snap a three-game losing streak.

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- Richard Hamilton scored 24 points and Tayshaun Price added 23 as Detroit improved to 28-2 at home. Detroit needed only 62 games to reach 50 wins, breaking the team record set in 1988-89 by four games. Detroit needs to go 14-6 in its final 20 games to break the franchise mark of 63 wins. Tony Delk added 11 points for the Pistons, while Antonio McDyess had 10 points and 11 rebounds and Ben Wallace had 15 rebounds and eight points. Raymond Felton led Charlotte with 18 points -- only two after the half -- and Melvin Ely scored 15 off the bench.

TORONTO -- Mike James made a go-ahead jumper with 8.2 seconds left, and Toronto ended a three-game losing streak.
Morris Peterson scored 25 points, Chris Bosh had 24 and James added 21 for the Raptors, who had lost nine of their previous 10.

BOSTON -- Paul Pierce scored 36 points, Wally Szczerbiak added 18, and Boston snapped Denver's four-game winning streak. Pierce, who has scored at least 30 points in 14 of 16 games, shot 15-of-23 to lead five Celtics in double figures. He also had four assists and three steals to help the Celtics win for the third time in four games and end a three-game losing streak against the Nuggets.
