Dinner party held for Stricklands on 60th anniversary

XYOUNGSTOWN -- A dinner party was held at 6 p.m. Feb. 28 at Rachel's Restaurant in honor of Mr. and Mrs. William Strickland, 2921 Eddie St., who were celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary.
Invitations for the event were extended by their daughter, Joyce Bruno of Youngstown. Completing the family circle are two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The former Roberta Hanshaw and Mr. Strickland were united in marriage Feb. 28, 1946, at Valley Fork, W.Va.
Mrs. Strickland retired in 1986 from Weatherbee Coats where she was employed in the finishing department.
Mr. Strickland was a diesel mechanic with Anchor Motor Freight in Lordstown prior to retiring in 1986.
