Daughters host anniversary party for the Kimbles



XEAST PALESTINE -- Mr. and Mrs. Norman Kimble of East Palestine were honored at a family party held Feb. 25 in celebration of their 60th wedding anniversary .
Hosts for the festivity were their two daughters, Juley (Bob) Lewis, and Cindy (Gary) Clark, all of East Palestine. The event took place at the Clark home. Four grandchildren complete the family.
The former Rosetta Smith and Mr. Kimble were married Feb. 18, 1946, in New Waterford.
Mr. Kimble is a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran, having served in the South Pacific. He is a life-time member of VFW 2799 in New Springfield.
At one time the Kimbles owned and operated a store and service station in Petersburg. Later Mr. Kimble was employed 36 years as an operating engineer with Cummins Diesel of Northern Ohio in Hubbard.
Mrs. Kimble was employed in the terminal office of Herriott Trucking.
The couple are members of St. John Lutheran Church in Petersburg and the Operating Engineers Retirees Club.
