34west to presentcomedy 'Fish Eyes'
COLUMBIANA -- The 34west Theater Company presents the comedy "Fish Eyes" at Das Dutch Village Inn for one weekend only, March 31 and April 1. Back by popular demand, this hilarious two-man play depicts the lives of two of Jesus'' disciples, Andrew and Peter. Artistic directors and founders of 34west, Jeffrey Querin and Stephen Baldwin, weave comic timing with powerful drama in this unique retelling of a popular story.
"Fish Eyes" tells the story of the two disciples as they travel with Jesus during his years of ministry. Peter is the fiery, passionate cynic while Andrew is the witty one, with childlike optimism. Although frequently confounded by his teachings, the brothers' lives are forever changed because of their encounters with their leader. The story is placed in a contemporary setting and gives audiences a modern perspective into the lives of these two beloved disciples.
Along with the entertainment, Das Dutch Village Inn provides a four-course meal, featuring a a buffet style dinner with three entrees, assorted potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Groups can sit eight or 10 people to a table. "Fish Eyes" will be held in the banquet center of Das Dutch Village Inn of Columbiana, 150 E. State Route 14. Seating begins at 6:45 p.m., with the meal beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets are $40; discounts are given for groups of eight or more. For reservations and lodging information, call (866) 482-5050.
