COLUMBIANA -- The 34west Theater Company presents the comedy "Fish Eyes" at Das Dutch Village Inn for one weekend only, March 31 and April 1. Back by popular demand, this hilarious two-man play depicts the lives of two of Jesus'' disciples, Andrew and Peter. Artistic directors and founders of 34west, Jeffrey Querin and Stephen Baldwin, weave comic timing with powerful drama in this unique retelling of a popular story.
"Fish Eyes" tells the story of the two disciples as they travel with Jesus during his years of ministry. Peter is the fiery, passionate cynic while Andrew is the witty one, with childlike optimism. Although frequently confounded by his teachings, the brothers' lives are forever changed because of their encounters with their leader. The story is placed in a contemporary setting and gives audiences a modern perspective into the lives of these two beloved disciples.
Along with the entertainment, Das Dutch Village Inn provides a four-course meal, featuring a a buffet style dinner with three entrees, assorted potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Groups can sit eight or 10 people to a table. "Fish Eyes" will be held in the banquet center of Das Dutch Village Inn of Columbiana, 150 E. State Route 14. Hoyt seeks entrantsfor annual art show
NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- The Hoyt Institute of Fine Arts will hold its 33rd annual Hoyt Regional Juried Art Show May 2-26. Artists interested in competing for cash prizes and ribbons may enter their works of art on March 18 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Works must have been completed in the past three years and be ready for display. Although most other media are considered within weight and size limitations, video and installation are not accepted.
William Strickland, president of Manchester Craftsmen's Guild, will serve as juror. A prominent figure in the Pittsburgh region, Strickland has been honored with numerous awards for his contributions to the arts and communities.
The Hoyt Regional is open to all artists 21 years or older living within a 100-mile radius of New Castle. Entry is by original works of art only, hand delivered to the Hoyt on registration day. Italian Fest seeksparticipants, vendors
CANFIELD -- The annual Greater Youngstown Italian Fest will be held July 28, 29 and 30 at the Canfield Fairgrounds. Organizers are now looking for participants.

Maple Syrup Festivalat Boardman park
BOARDMAN -- Boardman Township Park District will hold its 29th annual Maple Syrup Festival April 1,2, 8 and 9 at the Boardman Park Community Center. Festivities run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.
Free outdoor events include camping techniques, a Civil War re-enactiment, hay ride and maple syrup demonstrations. Indoor events include Civil War antiques display, a Boardman Historical Society display, maple syrup sales, woodcarvers and watercolor display.
Boardman Rotary will hold a pancake and sausage breakfast each day. The price is $5 for adults, and $3 for children 12 and under.
Imperials at Hartville
HARTVILLE -- Because of the recent death of Anthony Burger, Hartville Kitchen has canceled its April 6 performance by Burger and Jonathan White. Instead, on the same day, Hartville Kitchen will host a dinner concert featuring the Imperials and Jonathan White.
With roots in Southern Gospel, the Imperials made a name for themselves and quickly became the biggest group in Gospel Music. Recently inducted into the Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame, the group has been awarded numerous Dove Awards throughout its career.
