CHEVROLET CENTRE Home, flower show to feature landscaping, flora on display

YOUNGSTOWN -- The Nature Stone Mid-America Home and Flower Show will be held this weekend at the Chevrolet Centre.
It will be the first trade show held at the new downtown arena.
Promoter Dominic Baragona said the show will be a spectacle never before seen in the Mahoning Valley.
The landscaping and flora that will be featured at the show is incredible, said Baragona. There will be nine landscaping exhibits plus displays of flowers.
"It's an awesome place to host a home and flower show," said Baragona. "Not only is there a large floor area for exhibit booths, but we will also have the concourses filled with beautiful displays and landscaping."
New to the area will be a special section of incredible displays by NARI, the National Association of the Remodeling Industry. NARI is a co-sponsor of the event.
A handful of soap opera stars will be at the show. Lucas Roberts from NBC's "Days of Our Lives" and Thomas Forrester from the CBS's "The Bold and the Beautiful" will appear Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. Forbes March, who plays Nash on ABC's "One Life to Live" will greet his fans on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2-4 p.m.
The show will also feature free appraisals of antiques and collectibles by Dangerfield Auctions.
"It's really fun to watch these appraisals and to see what these things are worth," said Baragona.
The show runs from noon to 8 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
Admission is $6. Children under 12 are admitted free.
