Each episode features two ordinary people overcoming extraordinary obstacles with the help of a prestigious team of medical experts. The show follows every step of a patient's journey, from the first consultation through the medical procedures and outcome.
"Pros vs. Joes" (10 p.m., Spike): Think you could beat Dennis Rodman to the basket? Outrun Bo Jackson? Be tougher than Jim McMahon? Three everyday "Joes" will get the chance to walk the walk in this new reality series that pits professional athletes against brave wannabes. The amateur who bests his heroes in a variety of sports challenges will win season tickets to his favorite team, not to mention bragging rights. Among the athletes participating are Muggsy Bogues, Jerry Rice, John Rocker, Rodman and Bill Romanowski.
"I Love Toys" (10 p.m., VH1): From Troll dolls and Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots to Mr. Potato Head and My Little Pony, the mere mention of favorite toys evokes nostalgic smiles from most of us, celebrities included. This five-night special spotlights those cherished childhood playthings, as Ricky Martin, French Stewart, Rachael Leigh Cook and Amanda Bynes, among others, reminisce about their toys. New episodes air Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 10 p.m., and Friday at 9:30 p.m.
