Trips, family event held to celebrate Rosko anniversary
XCANFIELD -- Mr. and Mrs. Frederick W. Rosko Sr., 4073 Pleasant Valley Lane, were joined by family members as they celebrated the 50th anniversary of their marriage on Feb. 4 during a gathering at their home.
The celebration began during a recent trip to Palm Beach and Key West in Florida and will continue during a fall trip to New England.
Arrangements for the events were made by the couple's children and their spouses, Fred Jr. and Kathy Rosko and Chad and Michelle Rosko, all of Canfield; Kelly and Atty. Robert Kerpsack and Rachel and Greg Hollern, all of Dublin, Ohio; Bridget and Atty. Kevin Chumlea of Zionsville, Ind.; and Joshua and Ashley Rosko of Kettering. Completing the family circle are 10 grandchildren.
The former Nancy J. Antonoff and Mr. Rosko were united in marriage Feb. 4, 1956, at St. Brendan Church, Youngstown. They are members of St. Christine Church, also in Youngstown.
Mrs. Rosko, a homemaker, is a member of St. Christine Infant Jesus Guild.
Mr. Rosko served as a corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a carpenter with the Carpenters Local Union 171 in Youngstown prior to retiring in 1995 and is a member of the International Federation of American Racing Pigeon Fanciers and the Steel-Valley Combine Association.
