In game two, YSU plated an unearned run in the first and third innings before scoring three runs in the fourth to go up 5-0.

The Penguins left the bases loaded in the sixth and had a runner thrown out at the plate in the seventh to allow the Terriers to push the game into extra innings. Diedrich hit a solo homer in the eighth to put YSU up 6-5, but Waring's second homer of the game with one out in the eighth gave the Terriers the win.
J.D. Melton earned the win in relief for Wofford while Kevin Libeg was tagged with the loss for YSU in game two.

Boone loses
TEMECULA, Calif. -- A slow start, hampered middleweight Darnell Boone in an eight-rounder with Enrique Ornelas Friday night at the Pechanga Resort Casino.
Ornelas, from La Hadra, Calif., piled up points and apparently the judges felt Boone didn't do enough to overcome with solid shots until the end of the fight.
The judges voted 79-73 with two of them voting 77-75 for a unanimous decision for Ornelas (23-2).
Through the first 31/2 rounds Ornelas peppered Boone with quick left jabs and landed stinging straight rights off of that jab as Boone seemed to be content to counterpunch.
Late in the fourth round Boone became aggressive and began to turn the fight around. He was working in on Ornelas landing right crosses with stinging left hooks as the California hopeful went on the move and was very evasive.
In the sixth round Ornelas tagged Boone with a solid straight right which was his biggest offensive move of the late rounds. In the last two rounds Boone had a good attack going as he was working up and down to the head and body.
The loss ended a four fight win streak for Boone (10-4-1), who didn't feel good.
"I had a little trouble early with a bad start, but from the fourth round on I was catching him with the cleaner shots. He never hurt me and truthfully when it was over, I thought I won the fight."
